Lets Learn SINGULAR and PLURAL

What is a Noun?
 A Noun is a name of a word represent place, Person or Thing.

when a noun refers to a single person, place or a thing, it is called "Singular"


A Cat


A bat



A School



when noun refers to a two or many personsplaces or a things, it is called "Plural"

Cats

Bats

Schools



A Singular noun changes in to plural noun in many ways

SINGULAR to PLURAL


  • By Adding "S" to the singular noun




  • By Adding "es" to the singular noun ending in s,x,o,z, sh and ch




  • By changing "y" to "ies" if the singular noun end in y and preceded with consonant.


  •  If the noun ends with "f "or "fe" the plural is formed by changing  "f "or "fe" to "ves"



  •  Irregular Plural

  • Same form for singular and plural
